Current Availability (as of January 2008)

We have two small restored antique cottages and one apartment (which is connected to our 100 year old home) for rent just minutes walking distance from historic downtown Abingdon and the famous Virginia Creeper Trail. Our cottages share our slightly less than an acre with our main home and the small backyard flock of chickens and ducks we started in 2007. There are also two tire swings on a knarly old maple tree that our girls love to share with our guests.

The two cottages are currently occupied with longer term renters but our apartment is still available.

The apartment has its own entrance on our wrap around porch, 10-1/2 foot ceilings and shares the wonderful old architecture of our home. It sleeps up to 6 comfortably and has two large rooms, a kitchen, a small room, and a small bathroom. The kitchen is cozy and equipped with everything you'd need for a short or long stay, including a washer/dryer. One of the large rooms is currently used as the main bedroom with a queen bed, the other as a living/dining room with a queen size sleeper sofa. The small room in the back off of the kitchen is set up with a trundle bed (two twins, one as a pull out).
